Be thankful for what you have; you will end up having more. Being thankful is the willingness to appreciate things that are given to you.

At the societal level, appreciation is shown in the form of support to leadership or government.

Gratitude is the fairest blossom which springs from the soul. Gratitude is the completion of thankfulness.

Still in the spirit of the celebration of Nigeria's Independence Anniversary and Ebonyi State creation, Ebonyi people are overtly grateful for the people-oriented policies and monumental achievements of our hardworking, productive and result-oriented Governor, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Prince Bldr. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru within two years in office.

All sectors of the state have witnessed unprecedented and rapid development and positive changes since his assumption of office as the 4th Executives Governor of the state.

Recording limitless achievements with limited and scarce resources is an act of love by a liberal leader. Our dearest Governor is not only a selfless leader but a caring father of the state and all its citizens.

On his part as a leader and father, he has shown gratitude to the citizens of the state for their continued support, individual and collective sacrifices for the development and future of the state with human capital development and economic transformation of the state. He has continued to show Ebonyi people that every act of kindness deserves a reward.

That is the reason he wakes up each morning to the welfare and security of the citizens and residents of the state.

He cares for the fathers and the children of the state. He cares for retirees, civil and public servants, traders, students, artisans and Craftsmen, farmers and contractors.

The laudable achievements of the present administration are products of well-designed policies and programmes of the People's Charter of Needs Mantra and have been achieved through peace, security and social stability.

Joy is the simplest form of gratitude. A grateful mind is a healthy mind. It is always willing to show appreciation in great measures at all times.

Saying thank you is more than good manners. As we gladly celebrate the 65th Independence Anniversary of Nigeria and 29th Anniversary of the Creation of Ebonyi State, we count our blessings from the present administration, and make our blessings count by showing gratitude to His Excellency, the Governor, for the facelift he has given Ebonyi people both at home and in the diaspora.

Like the Akebulusi tree, (ife kwulu, ife akwudebe ya), meaning, when a thing stands, another one stands beside it. The loving and supportive wife of our dear Governor and caring mother of the state, Her Excellency, Chief Mrs. Mary-Maudline Uzoamaka Nwifuru, First Lady of Ebonyi State has been working round the clock, leaving no stone unturned to appreciate and compliment the efforts of her beloved husband and our compassionate Governor, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Bldr. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru through the programmes and achievements of her Pet Project, Better Health for Rural Women, Children and Internally Displaced Persons Foundation (BERWO). BERWO Foundation has revived many lives and restored hope to the poor, underprivileged and vulnerable Ebonyians through practical approach to their health and social needs.

We equally appreciate the supportive role of our diligent Deputy Governor, Her Excellency, Princess Patricia Onyemaechi Obila geared towards delivering the core mandates of the present administration.

As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest form of appreciation is not to utter words but to live by them. Appreciation is a wonderful thing; it makes what is excellent in others belong to us as well.

Let us continue to show sincere appreciation to His Excellency, the Governor by registering for our Permanent Voter Card to enable us reward his good works and show of love with our votes in 2027.

Together we shall build a productive and prosperous Ebonyi State.

May peace of God continue to reign supreme in Ebonyi State!
